Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Senior Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. This is an individual contributor role, and is not a management position.

This position oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

  • Engaged as an individual contributor with focus on the execution of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management to collect data and integration data into meaningful reports.

  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and program budget and objectives.

  • Responsible for implementing and managing program processes and tools in accordance with the Integrated Management Framework.

  • Works side by side with the Program Managers on all program reporting including IPT, customer, and executive level presentations.

  • Manages program rhythm; coordinates and recommends program resource changes; identifies cost, schedule or performance variances for potential programmatic impacts.

  • Facilitates the risk, issue and opportunity management processes. Implements the Requirements Management process and manages all enterprise and project requirements.

  • Key program focal point for Program Management Reviews, both internal and external.

  • Program resource management.

  • Analyzes current program processes and identifies process improvements to increase efficiency of program management/integration efforts.
