Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer specializing in management of mechanical system components. The chosen candidate will have a demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the procurement of aircraft actuation hardware (electrically and hydraulically powered) with related supplier management skills. Experience with performing design and analysis of aircraft mechanisms ( flight controls systems, up-lock and down-lock systems, weapons carriage systems, electromechanical and hydraulic rotary and/or linear drive actuators , etc.), also desired.
Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years' experience directly related to aircraft design and development.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA. Experience with NX and TeamCenter. Active DoD Secret Clearance.
