This position is for a Principal Project Manager, who will be supporting the Program Office and Operations and Integration team in a classified environment. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project integrators within the Operations and Integration organization. The candidate is responsible for oversight and management of the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and will serve as the liaison between program management, integrated product teams, and other functional areas. The selected candidate will also support infrastructure team and act as a liason between the Enterprise Services team and Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
Capturing, tracking, and providing visibility into/reporting on action items
Development and presentation of Executive level leadership briefings
Facilitation of meetings, resulting actions, and any associated deliverables, including senior leadership meetings
Assisting in the planning, development, and oversight of a classified network infrastructure
Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
Providing mentorship to junior-level employees
Work with internal customers to understand the business goals, objectives, rules and additional requirements
Work side by side with an IT counterpart to ensure tool development and infrastructure projects are on time and meet the needs of the program
This individual contributor should be able to work independently with little oversight and be able to receive requirements at a high level and derive lower-level requirements as required. Candidate should possess leadership skills and should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:
Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 4 years of experience in Project Management or Program Integration.
4 additional years of project management experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally. (managing projects, scheduling, budget)
Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years) .
Ability to obtain Special Program Access

Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 8 years of experience in Project Management or Program Integration.
4 additional years of project management experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IT infrastructure (both hardware and software)
Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and Jira

Experience with agile methodologies in software development or product owner responsibilities

Salary Range: $72,400 - $108,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
