Job Description

The Principal Project Management position will support the Program Manager efforts on projects within an Integrated Product Team (IPT), to include but not limited to risk, issue, and opportunity (RIO) management; implementation and management of the change board process; generation and management of the change board documentation; training management team on change board operations; updating and management of program-level documentation; SDRL generation and management; and assisting other project managers as necessary. This person will lead the change board process, and assist IPT managers with risk and configuration/data management requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of the change board and serves as liaison between line management, the Mission Assurance Manager, and Program Manager to ensure RIO management compliance

  • Serves as the Configuration and data management subject matter expert

  • Reviews, updates, and maintains program-level documentation and templates

  • Develops process documents for the internal change board

  • Develops mechanisms for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers

  • Identifies program gaps related to configuration, data, and RIO management

  • Trains team on change board processes

  • Develops customer relationships and customer intimacy

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of project management experience; Master's degree with 4 years of experiences supporting Aerospace, Department of Defense, Government contracts, or project management experience. In lieu of formal degree, High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 10 years of relevant experience.

  • A current Secret DoD Clearance with a Periodic Review within the last five calendar years, with the ability to maintain

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within 365 days from offer acceptance.

  • Experience with configuration and change board management

  • Abilitiy to communicate with multiple levels of the organization, excellent presentation skills

  • Highly experienced using all Microsoft (MS) Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification

  • Experience with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management

  • Experience writing process documentation

  • Experience training leaders on change board requirements and processes

  • Experience maintaining configuration control of program documents

  • Experience implementing change board processes

  • Experience with SharePoint and Teamcenter
