Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal MBT&E Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
The FCA (Future Carrier Aircraft) Proposal Team is looking for a qualified Test Engineer to join the System Integration & Testing of future carrier aircraft. The selected engineer will support the development of models and processes across the Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) sector. This successful candidate will have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, the use of Modeling and Simulation as a tool to assist in risk reduction and cost, while increasing efficiency in the test and evaluation domain(s). This position is located in Melbourne, FL and reports to the Model Based Test & Evaluation (MBT&E) Manager.
The candidate selected for this position will work with engineers across multiple disciplines to translate efficiencies and cost savings into a working digital model that contributes to mission success. Examples of such work include interfacing with Integrated Product Teams to integrate Mission Scenarios, define requirement definitions, solidify test designs, formulate software frameworks, and execute robust Test & Evaluation activities. Formulation will utilize a comprehensive physics-based model set that aligns with our customer's Total Digital Transformation. He/she should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be willing to explore and learn new software and help to develop future implementation processes.
Bachelors of Science and 5+ years (3+ years' experience with Masters of Science) of systems engineering or testing experience
Prior knowledge/experience applying human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine and human-computer systems and products
Experience in any high level, OOP languages (e.g. Python, Java)
Possess an active in-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access
2+ years of MBSE or MBT&E experience
Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools (i.e. SysML, SimCenter, STK, AFSIM, etc.)
Knowledge of physics based modeling
An active in-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
