Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Computer/Displays Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
Perform COTS design evaluations
Develop requirements for displays to be used on multi-platforms
Analysis of military systems requirements
System integration and test
Experience with supplier interaction/management of commercial or military avionics and/or computing hardware.
Specific tasks include:
Writing specifications using DOORS
Performing analysis/evaluation of commercial and military products
Evaluating supplier tests/test results
Conducting system integration and test of avionics computing devices
Experience working with an integrated engineering/technology team is preferred. The successful candidate will support program reviews to ensure supplier products meet technical requirements. Preferred experience includes performing ground and flight test of airborne or space electronics. Experience with networks configuration and integration is a plus. Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of network or electronics engineering experience OR a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of network or electronics engineering experience.
Experience in design, integration and test of complex systems
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a DOD Interim Secret level security clearance prior to start.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
