Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Mission Systems Lab Infrastructure Engineer 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
Project Leadership of the Mission System Test Stations to include
Mission Processing and Core SW
Communications Navigation and Instrumentation (CNI)
Data, Displays and Controls (DDC)
Stores Management Systems (SMS)
Overall Project lead for the Mission Segment Level integration and Test Environments
The Mission Systems Lab Infrastructure lead will have 7-9 major and 2-3 smaller projects in their portfolio
Must be able to obtain and maintain program access
The successful candidate will facilitate the project managers / engineers assigned to them from the receipt of requirements to the test stations installations and check out. The candidate will be responsible for reporting status on all assigned projects to leadership and facility their teams in execution of their statement of work. The successfully candidates will Perform Strategic planning and coordination with other Infrastructure leads to proactively executes Infrastructure SOW. This candidate will report directly to the Lab Infrastructure Manager.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of engineering experience OR
Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of engineering experience OR
PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of engineering experience
Minimum 5 years of experience working on Aircraft or Spacecraft Programs
Minimum 5 years of experience working on Test Programs
Experience with Mission Processing and Core Software, Communications Navigation and Instrumentation (CNI), Data, Displays and Controls (DDC), and/or Stores Management Systems (SMS)
Experience with cost, schedule, risk and opportunity management
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
