Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Manager Quality Engineering 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
Functional homeroom manager is responsible for Supplier Quality program execution, personnel, processes and infrastructure. This position represents Supplier Quality to program leadership and internal and external customers. Interfaces with the program to ensure adequate proposals, staffing and support. Represents Supplier Quality on closed program activities. Establishes and implements strategies and tactics to drive affordability and long term improvement. Interact closely with Global Supply Chain a daily basis.
Responsible for management of our Strike Systems Division programs across the Aerospace Systems Sector. Directs and manages all cost, schedule and technical performance requirements that are levied on the Strike Systems programs and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the division. Responsible and accountable for strategy, planning, and execution of all Supplier Quality processes and activities in support of Strike Programs. Perform as the communication and management focal point to Strike programs for the Supplier Quality organization. Lead SQ Strike Programs execution and accountable for labor estimates, resource planning, and assure identification of trends and actions to reduce supplier caused defects affecting MAS Programs. Responsible to manage to established metrics in accordance with Global Mission Excellence & Logistics requirements and in consideration of Program objectives. Must be able to Interface and brief executive leadership and customers as required on issues, action plans, and requested content.
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM major)
Minimum of 9 years related aerospace, information technology, supplier management, engineering, or quality experience.
Must have a proven track record of accomplishments within staff development, project management, program management, team development, or leadership
Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
3+ years Functional Management Experience
5+ years Quality experience
Ability to bring new perspective, make suggestions for process improvement
