Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a S03 Lab Integration Engineering Manager to join our Weapons Systems Integration and Test team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
The Lab, Integration, & Test (LIT) team is responsible for the build, management, software tools, software models, and system testing that occurs in the Weapon System Integration Facility (WSIF) in Melbourne, Florida. The WSIF is an 180,000 Sq. Ft. laboratory that covers all aspects of aircraft systems. The Lab Integration Manager 3 will report directly the Lab Director with the primary focus on ensuring timely development and integration of new lab capabilities to meet program needs.
A successful candidate will have an understanding of processes associated system test to include lab design, software, and system level testing of aircraft. Involvement with Hardware-in-the-Loop lab test environment, where testers can test like they fly is a major benefit. A highly successful candidate will also understand the business side of running a laboratory as this team has a large statement of work. The selected candidate will also be ready to support the "Own it!" culture of the Lab Team that integrates the diversity of talents into performance.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Development of strategic plans to deploy capabilities within the lab that meets program milestones and objectives
Development and maintenance of detailed execution plans to ensure all elements are accounted for and tracked to completion
Coordination across the labs (including Lab Operations, and Test Teams) for configuration definition and management of the lab environments per strategic Lab Plan
Support of proposed efforts to enhance or modify the lab environment for future objectives
Resolution of issues and limitations within the lab environment
Leadership and management of alpha test integration efforts and lab acceptance tests to ensure applicability and readiness of new lab configurations
Track, analyze, and report on project cost, schedule, and performance
Identify efficiencies to ensure technical and business objectives are achieved
Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Must have 5+ years of prior management /leadership experience in Aerospace Industry
Must have experience with Lab Build, Design, and Integration supporting Aircraft Development Programs
Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Clearance and/or Special Program Access
Experience Leading Development or Test Teams
Master's or PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university or Business Degree.

Salary Range: $152,100 - $228,100
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
