Northrop Grumman is a leader in developing mission critical computer aided dispatch (CAD) and associated integrated systems. The First Responder Solutions (FRS) team designs, develops, integrates, and services mission critical 9-1-1 solutions world-wide for both large and small city and government emergency response markets.

The Test Engineer 2 position will be located in McLean, VA and our customer base is distributed across major metropolitan areas in the USA and Internationally.

Position Description:

  • Perform test planning, monitoring and test execution activities for program software.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Development of plans, procedures, methods, and tools for test.

  • Estimate the testing to be done and acquire necessary resources.

  • Schedule the test for execution and then will monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.

  • Must be able to work in a technical team environment characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities and quick responses.

  • Test improvements and optimizations.

Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years' experience required.

  • Experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • Familiar with software testing processes and procedures.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience testing SW for functionality based on requirement specification and ability to identify and document exact sequence of activities desired.

  • Automated testing experience.

  • Experience creating and documenting test plans/procedures, analyzing results and creating reports.

  • Experience in Agile Engineering.

  • Experience with C#.
