Northrop Grumman Pathways Program Advisor in McLean, Virginia

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a highly motivated Advisor for its Pathways Program. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD or Northern Virginia and will support the strategy and execution of the Mission Systems' Pathways Program, a rotational program designed to provide new college hires an opportunity to experience multiple rotations in the core areas of the business to develop a solid foundation for a successful career.

The Pathways Advisor will:

Collaborate with ES&T as well as functional Pathways managers to ensure consistency and continuity; to ensure participants stay on track for rotations; and to ensure development and growth needs are met.

Provide coaching and feedback, as needed, to Pathways participants, with an emphasis on career exploration and professional development

Develop training and programming strategy and execute multiple events for Pathways participants nationwide

Provide assistance to the Manufacturing Pathways Manager to include, but not limited to, identification of rotation opportunities and needs, coaching, career guidance, track alignment and Pathways participant development.

Deliver and maintain Pathways new hire orientation, Pathways programming and Pathways communications

Support the Pathways Community of Practice

Collaborate closely with peers and stakeholders at all levels (including Human Resources and functional and technical leadership) across the sector to ensure a consistent, world-class Pathways experience

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

10 years of professional experience

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including ability to deliver large group presentations

Ability to provide career development guidance to new college graduates throughout the first 2-3 years of their career

Proven track record as a trusted advisor and partner with business leadership, along with demonstrated project management, analytical and process orientation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the Northrop Grumman Professional Development Program

Employee management experience

University recruiting experience

Experience with providing career development guidance to junior employees
