Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking several Operations Officers to support efforts to spot, assess and develop confidential informants. Candidate will provide assistance in conducting operational activities, assist with the development of confidential targeting packages, assist with the development of operational proposals and the preparation of operational correspondence for confidential informant cases, such as message traffic, file reviews, operational plans, and spot reports.

These positions will be located in client's challenging, dynamic setting located in the McLean, Herndon and or Chantilly, VA areas. The position(s) require an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance with a polygraph examination. Successful candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must have an Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience within the sponsor's organization or other relevant organization(s) in the Intelligence Community

  • Experience in operations planning

  • Experience in covert and overt collection capabilities and methods and the relationship of intelligence / information gaps in the collection process, and must have a clear understanding of clandestine operations tradecraft

  • Develop files to store, locate and retrieve specific documents, data and information related to operations

  • Ability to operate securely to protect and safeguard confidential informants

  • Experience with IC databases including targeting tools

  • Field experience as an operations officer with increasing levels of responsibility

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications as an operations officer, technical operations officer, or special skills officer

  • Knowledge of and experience in the fundamentals of intelligence operations to include risk assessment

  • Should have at least 5 years of experience with Bachelor of Science, 3 years with Masters,0 years with PhD or 5 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
