If so, then Northrop Grumman is the place for you. Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Manager HR Project Management 2 . Reporting to the Sr Director of Human Resources, the Manager HR Project Management 2 will be coordinating the timely and successful planning, operations and execution of Human Resources rhythms aligned to the sector wide human capital strategy. This includes establishing the strategic and operational rhythms, identification of operational efficiencies and process improvements and alignment to other strategic initiatives and special projects as needed . This role is located in McLean VA.

As an HR Project Manager you will partner with executive functional leaders to drive and evolve our current operating model to bring more governance, common practices, and processes across the entirety of the space sector.

  • Supporting organizational design efforts to include alignment of resources against budget requirements.

Specific duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Drive the delivery of the evolution of our working models. Looking across the space sector to establish responsibility, accountability, authority (RAA) to provide common governance, processes, and execution.

  • Managing a matrixed function capable of meeting the needs of a large, growing, and complex operating sector in an ever-changing talent landscape while providing guidance and direction to resources performing similar roles within each HR division and functional team to create an integrated HR operating plan.

  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise in the human capital domain including line of sight to internal and external best practices and recommend/adopt for the sector to align to a unified space culture.

  • Working directly with the HRBL driving strategy & operations, HRVP, division HR business leaders, functional Center of Excellence (COE) leaders, and the division and sector leadership teams to organize and facilitate day-to-day operational aspects of the function.

  • Integrating day-to-day operational objectives to meet the function's financial, non-financial goals and assigned Sector Operating Objectives (SOOs).

  • Coordinating and driving timely and successful execution of the sector human capital strategy, planning and execution, including identifying operational efficiencies and process improvements.

  • Partnering with the People Analytics, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Ethics/ER, OE, and Compensation teams to align talent operation efforts and report on progress and impact.

  • Identifying focus areas for process improvement/streamlining and development and execution of operational initiatives.

  • Leading internal special projects as requested by the HR VP, to include activities such as: establishing and leading a cross-functional team, developing and monitoring objectives, briefing senior leaders, and facilitating broader communication across division employees as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience and minimum of 3+ years project management experience - OR - a Master's degree in business management, organizational development, human resources, or related field with 5+ years of related experience and minimum of 3 years project management experience.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to manage multiple clients with multiple needs in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Executive level presentation experience.

  • Experience influencing without direct authority to produce results/outcomes.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects within critical deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand detailed program financial performance; strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of company and sector operations, policies, procedures and command media.

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10%.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • MS or MBA degree in Human Resources (or related discipline to include math to enable critical thinking requirements).

  • PMP or similar certification.

  • PHR (SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHRM - SCP) certification.

  • Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman culture and demonstrated success effectively working within company's organization, processes, and procedures.

  • Human Resources/Talent or line of business experience to include project or program management, with strong knowledge and understanding of talent management and internal consulting practices.

  • Experience in consulting / coaching senior leadership and expertise in change management and strategic communication.

  • Demonstrated capability in process improvement implementation.

Salary Range: $125,500 - $188,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
