Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced, self-starting Field Service Representative to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.

Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Department of the Navy F-35 B/C Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrade (MRO&U) organization within the Global Sustainment organization of Northrop Grumman Technology Services (NGTS).

In this exciting position, your roles and responsibilities will include: Providing maintenance, operation and repair of depot support equipment for the F-35 B and C air vehicle depot operations at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is capable working with, leading and supporting a team of air vehicle mechanics. The candidate must also be able to effectively coordinate with the Northrop Grumman program office, engineering, quality and the USN customer in order to ensure the team meets scheduled commitments and quality objectives.

The Support Equipment FSR provides technical guidance and logistics support for a broad range of F-35 Ground Support Equipment (GSE). The FSR:

  • Advises internal and external customers on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of technical products, programs and systems.

  • Provides expertise for resolving technical problems and troubleshooting products to customer requirements.

  • Provides product familiarization to customers.

  • Uses engineering data to determine correct equipment configuration and to identify or help define design deficiencies that limit equipment utility in the customer's environment.

  • Consults withe GSE equipment managers, engineers, reliability engineering and suppliers to resolve customer equipment issues involving safety, usability, reliability and availability.

  • Collects, archives and submits GSE readiness status. Identifies reliability and maintainability issues that affect readiness trends.

Work will be done at the customer site (Fleet Readiness Center - East (FRC-E), MCAS Cherry Point, NC). Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements, to include possibility of weekend work requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with10 years related experience (4 years additional experience in lieu of degree, or 2 years additional experience with Associates/Technical Diploma in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

  • Current USG Secret security clearance.

  • Aerospace Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience or commensurate related experience in aircraft support equipment sustainment.

  • Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proficient using MS Office Software including; Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.

  • Experience using engineering drawings and technical data.

  • Capable of working in hazardous flightline environment.

  • Capable of physically lifting and moving equipment over 50lbs periodically

  • Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards.

  • US Citizenship is Required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SE data management experience

  • Military flight-line maintenance experience

  • Support Equipment maintenance experience

  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals

  • Experience with military standard maintenance practices.

  • Professional focused on mission success
