We have an opening for either a Systems Engineer or a Principal Systems Engineer to join our talented, diverse team in Redondo Beach, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for a System of Systems Integration effort and Ground Segment. In this role, you will be interacting with the customer and leadership to define and maintain the technical baseline. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to drive the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission, ensuring everything is synchronized. You will be a jack of all trades and a master of a few.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Systems Engineer:
2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 0 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree
Knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes, including the Systems Engineering "V"
Knowledge of the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML, UML) and concepts
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Principal Systems Engineer:
5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree; 0 years of experience with a PhD
Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes, including the Systems Engineering "V"
Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML, UML) and concepts
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Active DoD Secret Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML, UML) and concepts
Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Excellent technical writing and team building skills
Experience working with Ground Segments and Space Systems
Active Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance
Salary Range: $85,000 - $127,400
Salary Range 2: $104,600 - $157,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
