Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Test Engineer to support the Ground Systems Development Department. This position is based in Manhattan Beach, CA .
The ideal candidate has experience with hands on hardware test and integration and is comfortable with racking units, being hands on in the assembly lab with hardware such as commercial test equipment, custom electronics (simple to very complex), PCBs, Units, Test Sets, subsystems, and systems.
This person will be working on programs of various sizes ranging from small to large teams. This position has opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally after obtaining security clearance.
This role may be filled at the Principal Electrical Test Engineer (Level 3) or Sr. Principal Electrical Test Engineer ( Level 4) level depending on the qualifications below.
The responsibilities include supporting satellite system ground-based hardware testing, flight electronics test systems, site support, procurement, logistics, material tracking and disposition.
Basic Qualifications: Principal Electrical Test Engineer ( Level 3)
Bachelor's + 5 years of exp: Master's + 3 years of exp; PhD + 0 years of exp. Will consider significant work-related experience (9+ years) in lieu bachelor's degree
2+ years of electronic engineering test experience in an engineering environment
Basic Qualifications: Sr. Principal Electrical Test Engineer (Level 4)
Bachelor's + 9 years of exp; Master's + 7 years of exp; PhD + 4 years of exp. Will consider significant work-related experience (13+ years) in lieu bachelor's degree
2+ years of electronic engineering test experience in an engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in electrical or computer Engineering from an accredited institution
2 years of Electronic Engineering test experience in an Aerospace Environment
Electronic Design experience in and engineering environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fast learner and have a strong interest in hardware integration and test
DOD TS or SCI clearance

Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400
Salary Range 2: $117,700 - $176,500
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
