Ground Systems Development is seeking an experiencedElectrical Engineer to perform development, delivery, and support for a restricted program's EGSE test set development. This position will be located inRedondoBeach, CA.

Position is for a Test Set RDE for the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) suite of test sets. Position focuses primarily on Space Vehicle subsystems, C&DH, AEPS, ACS, EIA. You will be part of the EGSE Team supporting I&T and the project test bed. Responsibilities include both hardware and software roles which will encompass test set development and troubleshooting test set anomalies as they arise. Documentation of root cause and evidence of problem resolution is expected. Experience with LabView, C++ and Linux Redhat is a plus. Test Set RDE will interface with subsystem test engineers, test operators, systems administrators, system test controller team, and vendors in order to provide support for various test set tasks as required. The test set RDE will also support various customer reviews, technical interchanges and proposal support. Position may require some travel.

This candidate will also be capable of interfacing with internal and external customers and preparing/presenting the results of their work. Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM Degree with 9 years of hardware experience; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD.

  • Demonstrated hardware experience indesign and test at either the unit or test set level

  • Previous experience as an RDE (Responsible Design Engineer)

  • Experience in an electronic test environment that verifies specification requirements

  • Active SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or STEM Degree

  • Experience presenting to technical leadership

  • Experience designing and developingpayload test systems

  • Experience in analog, RF, or digital test set development and testing

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
