Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst (level 3) or Sr. Principal Industrial Security Analyst (level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Magna, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities: Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Adhering to policies, practices, and procedures of the 32 CFR Part 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)

  • Adhering to the DoD Manual 5205.07 Vol 1-4

  • Under minimal supervision, administers routine aspects of the DOD or other industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures

  • Shall develop and conduct security briefings and support security education programs (SETA)

  • Be able to recognize when a security incident or violation has occurred. Be able to investigate a security incident or violation and recommend a corrective action plan

  • Knowledgeable in the use of Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS) and COMSEC

  • Familiarity and understanding with SIMs

  • Requires the ability to make sound decisions while staying within compliance of DoD regulations

  • Manage time effectively and be able to take independent action

  • Take initiative to improve processes, as well as provide solutions once an issue has been identified

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences at all levels of the organization both verbally and through written communications

  • Must be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasking, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment

  • Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the security program including PERSEC, Physical and administrative procedures

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Industrial Security Analyst (level 3) or Sr. Principal Industrial Security Analyst (level 4

Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal Industrial Security: 6 Years of Industrial Security experience with Bachelors; OR 4 years with Masters; OR an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree

  • Sr. Principal Industrial Security: 10 Years of Industrial Security experience with Bachelors; OR 8 years with Masters; OR an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree

  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an Active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within the last 6 years

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPSO certification

  • FSO certification

  • Top Secret clearance with SAP access

Salary Range: $74,600 - $111,800

Salary Range 2: $92,400 - $138,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
