Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to provide leadership to our Mechanical Maintenance team in our Bacchus, Utah offices to join our team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Maintenance Manager is responsible for the mechanical Maintenance and Repair of the entire Bacchus Facility including plant infrastructure, construction projects, buildings, and process equipment. This position leads a diverse team of skilled craftsmen including Craft Team Supervisors, Maintenance Helpers, Painters, Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Machinists, Welders, Carpenters, and Boiler Operators

Job Duties:

  • Ensures Preventative Maintenance plans are performed as scheduled.

  • Ensures repair maintenance is prioritized and resolved to ensure safe operations and minimize any down time.

  • Actively involved in increasing Operational Availability across plant.

  • Act safely and quickly to resolve any plant mechanical emergencies.

  • Responsible for all aspects of employee and process safety including any corrective actions that may be warranted.

  • Responsible to ensure that the collective bargaining agreement is administered in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Responsible for Capital Project execution.

Basic Qualifications:

Education Certifications

  • High School and 6 years’ experience in Facilities and Maintenance, or equivalent experience maintaining and supporting complex production processes and equipment.

  • Supervisory: Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of Craft/Technician management experience or equivalent leadership experience.

Education/Certifications Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field

  • Journeyman or formal certification in a discipline such as Machinist, Carpenter or Water Master

Experience Preferred

  • Hands-on experience/background in facilities and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of the Bacchus plant infrastructure and production processes and facilities.

  • Knowledge of Operations’ equipment and processes including Mix/Cast, Subscale, Finishing, NDT, Laboratories, etc.

  • Strong understanding of the Bacchus collective bargaining agreement.

  • Able to quickly and effectively build strong teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Broad understanding of the Bacchus Plant Water, Air, Steam, and Natural Gas systems

  • Strong knowledge of plant process equipment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.

  • Able to effectively balance personnel resources between conflicting priorities.

Salary Range: $84,300 - $126,500

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
