Northrop Grumman Engineer Industrial 2 in Madison, Alabama

Northrop Grumman Manufacturing department in Madison, Alabama has an opening for an Industrial Engineer 2. The selected candidate analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.



Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related Technical field with a minimum of 2 years of directly related Industrial Engineering experience.

Experience with engineering programs focused on process flows, manufacturing principles and production operations.

Experience developing and implementing plans and programs for facility modifications and or revisions to operating methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Tableau

Six Sigma Green Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt.
