Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Senior Staff RF/ Radar Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Linthicum/ Baltimore, MD.

What You'll get to Do:
As the lead developer of radars, COMMS, and SIGINT for some of the most advanced systems in the U.S. arsenal, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is a world leader in advanced sensor systems and design. These include radars for the F-22, Joint Strike Fighter, F-16, B-1B, AWACS, MESA, G/ATOR and UAV systems such as Global Hawk.
Qualified candidates will have opportunities to incorporate advanced techniques such as machine learning, adaptive signal processing, image processing and understanding, multiple hypothesis tracking, distributed resource management, graphbased methods, data fusion, and statistical analysis of system performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
RF/Radar Systems Engineers work with a team to perform advanced system and algorithm development using established systems engineering approaches. Based on detailed trade studies and requirements analysis, our engineers develop modern solutions to satisfy current system requirements as well as future challenges and perform functions involved in all aspects of design which can include: - Investigating new algorithms to advance the state of the art in signal processing and sensor design
Developing detailed simulations of algorithms and systems for design verification or to enable operational software development
Designing sensor modes which satisfy requirements and maximize sensor performance
Collecting and analyzing data from laboratory or flight tests
Formally verifying solution meets requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline with 18+ years of systems engineering experience (related to job description) 16+ years with a Master's Degree or 13+ years with a PhD.
10 or more years direct experience in radar, electronic warfare or RF sensor systems engineering
Demonstrates broad technical expertise including multiple patents/disclosures/relevant technical awards or external publications/presentations or internal presentations for the benefit of fellow employees as well as program-related documents and publications.
Professional hands on experience in radar/COMMS/SIGINT signal processing
Current/Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Current/Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Master's Degree or higher in EE, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline with significant work in radar signal processing.
