Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Troy Hill Operations is seeking an experienced, hands-on Sr. Principle Quality Engineer to support Program and manufacturing operations. This position will report into the Troy Hill Quality & Mission Excellence organization. The qualified candidate will be primarily responsible for acting as a Program Quality Engineer on production programs at the site but will also be responsible for supporting sustainment (repair) and compliance activities.
The following are the roles and responsibilities of this position:
Supports proposal development regarding QME time/manpower estimates.
Identifies and supports the need for First Article Inspection at appropriate levels, including AS9102.
Guides the successful completion and on-time-delivery of major programs and may function in a project leadership role as relates to QME activities.
Leverages metrics, customer and program feedback to assess risks & opportunities and communicates program execution status and quality metrics to a wide audience of professionals and leadership.
Establishes strong business relationships with Program, Manufacturing, Test, Engineering, OPM, and Production personnel.
Maintains and continuously develops technical knowledge in quality engineering, specifications/standards, drawing interpretation, measurement and analysis methods, processes and products, relevant technologies, and problem solving methodology
Participates in PFMEA and Lean initiatives and supports factory wide continuous improvement activities
Collaborates regularly with customers regarding Quality issues
Supports QME compliance program through audit and RCCA implementation.
Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of progressive, relevant experience (masters with 7+ years of experience, PhD with 4+ years of experience).
Experience leading projects or IPT lead.
Previous experience working in quality, supply chain, program management, engineering, or manufacturing.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
Experience with AS9100 Quality Management System certification process
Master's degree in a related field.
Ten years' experience in a leadership role in the Defense Industry.
Five years working in quality, supply chain, program management, engineering, or manufacturing
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Experience working in an IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 environment
Experience working in electronics manufacturing environment
Lean / Agile / Six Sigma Black Belt / Project Management certification/practitioner
5+ years SAP experience
