Northrop Grumman Payload and Ground Systems Division under the Space Sector is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (Level 3 or 4) for the Linthicum, MD location. This position reports to the Manager of Program Planning and Scheduling and requires the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Special Compartmented Information Access (SCI).
This individual must be capable of creating and maintaining a logic driven schedule network that is the core of a schedule-driven EVMS implementation. This position will be 100% onsite and will offer a 9/80 work schedule.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
Provide Engineering planning/scheduling support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to establish program baseline and manage program execution
Evaluate subcontract / supplier schedules and integrate into IMS
Collaborate with IPTs/CAMs to determine, monitor, and update program schedules with consideration of operational budgets, and manpower requirements
Track plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, prepare & implement change requests, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts
Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis in deriving solutions / recommendations to address program issues
Develop and present weekly/monthly program schedule performance metrics, including Tier 1 summary schedules
Formulate and recommend corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, and work requirements
Prepare and validate month end IMS submittal to customer in accordance with contractual requirements (IPMR, IPMDAR) in conjunction with scheduling best practices
Understand Engineering Statement of Work (SOW), product details, and processes to provide recommendations for critical management decisions
Prepare and support program events including Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), Internal Surveillance Reviews (ISR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
This role can be filled at either a level 3 or level 4 as outlined in the basic qualifications below:
Basic Qualifications – Level 3:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience – OR - Master’s degree with 3+ years of related work experience
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access
Experience with Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development or similar program, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) approach and execution, Earned Value Management (EVM), and MS Project
Basic Qualifications – Level 4:
Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related work experience – OR - Master’s degree with 7+ years of related work experience
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access
Experience with Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development or similar program, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) approach and execution, Earned Value Management (EVM), and MS Project
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Experience with Program Management Scheduling Software, including Open Plan Professional (OPP) or Primavera
Experience with resource loading Schedules
Active DoD SCI Access at time of application

Salary Range: $93,000 - $139,600
Salary Range 2: $115,400 - $173,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
