At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

Are you interested in exploring a career on the cutting edge of next-generation circuit design? You'll leverage your current experience and join our team of scientists and engineers in design of integrated circuits for emerging applications in low-temperature environments. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of scientists and engineers to make these design solutions a reality.

The Microelectronics Designs and Applications (MDA) Business Area (BA) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking motivated and experienced physicists and engineers to join our team of simulation and materials experts to aid in the design and layout of custom, low-power, low-temperature, RF, analog and mixed-signal ASICs. Selected candidates will support Northrop Grumman’s Superconducting ASIC Design, Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) Foundry, Electromagnetic Simulations, and RF Packaging teams. Selected candidates will build upon their previous silicon wafer fabrication, materials science, and EM single/multi-port circuit modeling experience to perform circuit simulation, and liaison between Fabrication and EM Simulation teams about silicon materials to improve simulation practice fidelity and knowledge base. The best candidates will be self-driven, motivated by success, and have a strong desire to learn the MDA BA’s fabrication and simulation processes.

What you will get to do:

  • Manage, enhance, and maintain high-frequency simulation and Multiphysics software tools such as ANSYS, ADS, COMSOL, etc.

  • Coordinate between different teams and programs to identify problems and provide solutions.

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and other team members to develop, document, and propagate best practices.

  • Research novel simulation techniques and implement improvements to current simulation practices and tools.

  • Perform model validation on simulations completed by other team members.
