This position is for a mission-ground-solution systems-engineering planning subsystem lead with the industry leading provider of end to end space and launch systems and capabilities serving national security, civil and commercial customers.
The program is looking for an innovative and dynamic systems engineer to lead the development of cutting edge solutions as part of our mission ground software systems engineering team. You'll join a larger fast-paced space-mission systems engineering integration and test (SEIT) agile development effort with a focus on system engineering of mission ground software.
In this position you will:
Serve as the lead technical and program expert for the spacecraft mission planning subsystem software
Decompose and interpret customer's statement of work
Define and manage schedule of activities required to meet program milestones
Define and maintain the spacecraft mission planning subsystem software technical baseline
Manage mission ground risks
Perform to the program plan using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) principles
Review and evaluate compliance documents (e.g. specifications, standards, interface compliance documents)
Establish functional and technical specifications for spacecraft mission planning subsystem software
Assure integration of spacecraft mission planning subsystem software with other mission ground software subsystems
Contribute to the development of SysML models to define system behaviors, drive interface design, and manage the mission ground software architecture baseline
Assure mission ground software requirements are verifiable and appropriately allocated
Contribute to the development of Operations Concepts
Work toward a DevSecOps mission ground software development roadmap that assures verification, validation, deployment, and maintenance success.
Plan for the development of mission ground software documentation (e.g. user guides, interface definition documents, version description documents)
Plan for compliance with cybersecurity requirements
Collaborate with a team of geographically remote subject matter experts
Represent the mission ground software planning subsystem team in program and technical reviews with our customer
Own the performance and execution of the systems engineering of the spacecraft mission planning subsystem software
