Northrop Grumman Manager 2, Industrial Engineering in Linthicum, Maryland

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager Level 2 for the MS Manufacturing organization. The position is located in Baltimore, Maryland and reports to the Manufacturing Operations Engineering and Analysis Department Manager. This Manager is responsible for providing functional management to Industrial Engineers and strategic leadership across Baltimore Manufacturing. The responsibilities of an Industrial Engineering Manager include: • Provide leadership and technical expertise in the Industrial Engineering discipline (work measurement, efficiency, optimization, affordability, continuous improvement, scheduling, capacity planning and systems & data analysis). • Lead the Industrial Engineering Community of Practice to advance Industrial Engineering processes and practices across the MS Manufacturing Sector. • Introduce new concepts and techniques for scheduling, data analysis and simulation to enhance manufacturing planning. • Demonstrate the leadership ability to challenge traditional methods, champion change and execute improvements within the Manufacturing environment. • Lead capacity management plans to achieve long range strategic production. • Responsible for Work Measurement Management and the generation of metrics, root cause data analyses and corrective actions. • Lead Continuous Improvement projects and employ Lean and Six-Sigma techniques to streamline Manufacturing processes. • Execute workload forecasting, hiring, performance management and compensation planning • Lead employee engagement, mentoring and career development activities. Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with an MS degree)• Experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations• Experience managing people or projects• The ability to obtain a Secret clearance. This requires US citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited university• Experience and/or certification in Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma or Value Engineering• Advanced degree in a technical, business, or management field from an accredited university• 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience• Experience with SAP and MRP• Aerospace or Defense Industry experience• Active Secret Clearance Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
