Are you ready to put your facility manager experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems has an opening for a Manager Facilities 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Lake Charles, Louisiana .
You will support Northrop Grumman Defense Systems' Airborne Platform Solutions Business Unit, leading a staff in the management of multiple sites. You will oversee the daily operation and long-term strategic planning of a geographically dispersed campuses.
The ideal candidate will lead facility staff in the management of day-to-day operations, budget planning, capital improvements, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers the opportunity to manage key infrastructure projects and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the site’s operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are in optimal condition, while managing work orders and ensuring minimal operational disruptions
Develop and manage operating budgets, including cost pools and capital expenditures. Ensure financial resources are used efficiently and align with company objectives
Implement and manage strategic facility plans for building improvements and space utilization, aiming to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
Coordinate and manage capital improvement projects, including building renovations and equipment installations. Oversee contractors, engineering firms, and internal teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and under budget
Negotiate with and manage vendors and landlords to ensure service level agreements are met and facilities are maintained to the highest standard
Ensure that all facilities meet safety standards and regulations, including OSHA, environmental health & safety (EH&S), and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines
Lead and mentor a diverse team of technicians and engineers, conducting performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development
Oversee and enhance preventive maintenance programs, ensuring the timely repair and upkeep of all equipment, and monitor metrics from the work order system
Implement business resumption and emergency preparedness plans, ensuring that all facilities are equipped to handle emergencies with minimal downtime

Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 13 years of facilities experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related fields and a minimum of 9 years of facility management experience may also be considered
6–10 years of project management experience in facilities or construction
Experience managing facility operations, leading teams, and overseeing large-scale construction or improvement projects
Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical), infrastructure redundancies, and compliance with building codes and safety standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Department of Defense Top Secret (T/S) clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and facilities management software (e.g., Maximo)
Familiarity with the aerospace industry, particularly in managing high-tech or sensitive environments.
Experience working in a matrixed or homeroom environment
Active (T/S) clearance
Salary Range: $98,500 - $147,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
