Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aircraft Maintenance & Fabrication Center wants you to join our team as Logistics Management Analyst 2 and join our diverse team in Lake Charles, La.

Our team is chartered with providing an innovative approach in developing Supply Chain Management solutions to help sustain multiple product lines providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter on multiple service platforms. You will directly interface between the GSC Team and the AMFC Lake Charles Program Office for all aspects of the Supply Chain. This individual will be assigned to the AVM program team and will perform in a somewhat autonomous manner and will have the authority to make complex decisions after considering alternatives. You will work with operations, scheduling and the program management staff to assess impacts to schedule and or alternatives to satisfy the immediate requirement; however, the decisions cannot diverge from policies and procedures or agreed upon plans.

Your duties include:

  • Find solutions to relieve critical aircraft constraints for Materials

  • Develop an understanding repair and fabrication capabilities of the site, using drawings and Illustrated Parts Catalog to determine Next Higher Assemblies, Service Bulletins, Engineering Orders, etc.

  • Determining alternative means to solve complex material shortage constraints on the aircraft where requirements require research into OEM Drawings, Material Specifications and Supplier data to understand and develop a solution

  • Extensive research and collaboration with the Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing Engineering teams for Material resolutions

  • Analyze data and identify trends as well as make projections based on historical usage data information

  • Prepare an analysis of alternative approaches, look at the causal factors for the Supply problem using multiple systems

  • Ensure that MMAS compliance is followed in all procurement and supply chain management activities as it relates to audit and financial responsibilities



Basic Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 yr of experience with Procurement & Supply Chain Management Activities; An additional 4 yrs of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

2. Basic understanding of MMAS Compliance & Financials

3. An understanding of Supply Chain Costing Analytics for provisioning efforts

4. Ability to read complex Drawings, Technical Orders & IPB's

5. Working knowledge in Constraint Mitigation

6. Ability to represent the SCM department while interacting with customers and suppliers in person through correspondence and in group meetings

7. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Familiarization with SAP, MES & NGSAMS

  2. Knowledge of fundamental LRDP concepts

  3. Experience in a Military Contract environment including PL-2 Restricted Assets

  4. Familiar with analytical tools (e.g., Excel) and able to perform cost assessments and analysis

  5. Experience creating and updating Python scripts or other provisioning tools for data compilation & analysis
