Northrop Grumman Cyber Systems Administrator 3 in Kirtland AFB, New Mexico

Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a System Administrator. This position is in support of an Air Force (AF) organization located on Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

This job requires critical thinking and project planning with general supervision to maintain and develop new concepts for at least four (4) different network systems for compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) standards of multi-user computer systems and servers using physical and virtual computer system environments.

This position assists with managing all IT projects as they relate to system administration, client systems, and automated system management. This position require personnel with current knowledge of Windows operating systems and an understanding of networking and Windows network technologies. A proven understanding of how the DoD secures Automated Information Systems is also required. Responsibilities will also include troubleshooting, lifecycle execution of systems, and IT customer service.

Duties will Include:

  • Providing technical support for computers, servers, and associated networks.

  • Planning, installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing computer, server, and associated network equipment.

  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting specialized hardware and software.

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining a network management/information protection suite of hardware and software.

  • Researching, recommending, engineering, and documenting hardware and software architecture solutions.

  • Assisting with configuration management requirements.

  • Making recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years related experience; Note: Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement. (Minimum of 10 years combined between education and relevant experience).

  • Must have at least2 years of experience in AIS Administration.

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must have an active DoD TS/SCI clearance

  • MusthaveCOMPTIA Security+ CE

  • Must be able to obtain an MCSA certificationfor Windows10 or Server 2012or higher within 90 days of start date

  • Must be flexible and be able to work outside normal business hours to support the mission

  • Must be willing and able to travel when required to support the mission

  • Must have knowledge and experience with the following:

  • Troubleshooting Client and Server Systems

  • Windows8 or higher

  • Windows 2012 Server or higher

  • Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy

  • Backup and Recovery

  • Configuration Management.

  • VMWare

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Current MCSA certificationfor Windows 10 or Server 2012 or higher

  2. Current SSBI Clearance

  3. Advanced knowledge and experiencewith the following:

a. Troubleshooting Client/Server Systems

b. Windows10/Windows 2012 R2

c. Active Directory / DNS / DHCP /Group Policy

d. Backup and Recovery

e. Configuration Management.

  1. Knowledge and experience with the following:

a. McAfee HBSS

b. VTC Equipment

c. Cisco Network Devices
