Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Configuration Analyst Level 1 or Level 2 to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be in Kettering, Ohio . Our Configuration team is responsible for supporting the management of controlled documentation and record retention for all aspects of operations. The Configuration and Document Controller plays an important role in distributing manufacturing documentation to operations and assisting functions with the correct controls for engineering and design documentation. The Configuration and Document Control Analyst will also assist Mission Assurance with verifying completed manufacturing records, final build packages, and submitting documents to customers.
**This position will be performed mainly onsite, but the opportunity to telecommute occasionally is available.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Release Change Notices (CN) and documents in ePIC (configuration management software) as needed for Manufacturing Work Packages (MPR)
Prepare and print MPR work packages
Completion of End Item Data Packages for product selloffs
Completes document reviews to verify information is accurate
Resolves documentation errors with Engineering, Production Control, and Quality
Release Forms and Documents on the Quality Management System (QMS)
Assist the continuous improvement team with transitioning from paper manufacturing instructions to electronic work instructions
May support processing Employee Qualifications in SharePoint and Update Qualification Matrix (Training Record Retention)
Assist with Configuration Management tasks in Client, ePIC, and Costpoint
Assist with contract closeout of Configuration Management tasks
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the organization. Must be highly process-driven and able to serve as a POC to educate cross-functional team members on policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications for Associate Configuration Analyst (Level 1):
Bachelor's degree
Ability to type 40wpm
Ability to work within MS applications i.e., MS Word, Excel and Adobe PDF (with the ability to create, edit, log and track data in spreadsheets)
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
The ability to obtain program access
Basic Qualifications for Configuration Analyst (Level 2):
Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience, Master's degree with 1 year of experience
Ability to type 40wpm
Ability to work within MS applications i.e., MS Word, Excel and Adobe PDF (with the ability to create, edit, log and track data in spreadsheets)
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
The ability to obtain program access
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant experience.
Experience with ePIC Client, ePIC, Solumina, and Costpoint systems
Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance
Experience in an Aerospace or Composite Materials manufacturing environment
Experience with Quality Management Systems e.g., AS9100
Salary Range: $52,700 - $79,100
Salary Range 2: $63,800 - $95,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
