NG Space Systems - Propulsion Systems is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for our Operations team, supporting several locations within the Flight Systems but home location would be the Cape Canaveral, Refurbishment Facility.

Role description & Responsibilities:

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing and refurbishment operations, including working with engineers to interpret assembly drawings, as well as performing disassembly, inspection and application of protective finishes to major structures and small parts used for Space Flight Systems. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers to improve processes and safely meet the strict demands of Human Space Flight.

Job Duties:

Uses heavy equipment and tooling to remove protective coatings in a strenuous, high noise environment to position hardware, remove protective coatings and reapply coatings per government specifications. Performs periodic maintenance on equipment and facility.


Experience Requirements:

Protective Finish Removal Processes, Paint Applications, Familiarity with general tools and FOD Controls. Valid Driver's License.

Skills & Qualifications:

Able to lift heavy equipment, work in a high noise environment, stand at least 8-hours a day, work minimum of 40-hours or more per week, read and interpret engineering drawings and standard work procedures.


High School diploma or equivalent and 4-years additional education and/or related experience. Military experience is a plus but not required.
