Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Quality Inspector Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals . This position is located in Iuka, MS .

Responsibilities:

Use written and electronic work instructions to perform required in-process and final assembly inspections (visual and dimensional) on structural components to ensure conformance with the quality requirements and associated systems, to support production needs. Work is performed within the confines of standardized Company and industry policies, practices and procedures. This job has decision-making responsibilities with regard to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed and the determination of measuring equipment used. The incumbent has the authority to halt work temporarily that would affect the production or shipment of parts. Errors could be critical and adversely affect the Company's competitive position in the aerospace field. This job reports to the inspection manager and works under general supervision.

Travel is less than 10% and within the US.

This is a D shift position (Friday-Sunday - 7:00pm to 7:30am).

Position may be filled at a higher level.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • High School diploma or GED and 4 or more years additional education and/or quality inspection experience.

  • Experience in inspection processes; knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments

  • Experience with common quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions.

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail

  • Prolonged standing and sitting

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Proficient knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • High School diploma or GED and 6 or more years additional education and/or quality inspection experience.

  • Experience in inspection processes; knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments

  • Experience with common quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions.

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail

  • Prolonged standing and sitting

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Proficient knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Composite experience

  • Familiarity with aerospace standards (ex. AS9100, ISO9001)

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $46,300 - $77,100

Salary Range 2: $55,000 - $91,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
