Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Facilities and Maintenance organization. This leadership opportunity is located in Iuka, Mississippi.
As part of the factory IPT, you will provide reviews as to the status of maintenance and reliability issues in the factory and be accountable for the scope, schedule, and budget of each area of activity. Your focus will include understanding Maximo (asset management system) to assure proper work control on preventative maintenance, emergency repair, and equipment modifications. Your focus will also include a sound understanding and participative control of the demand, warehousing, and use of spare parts inventory. This position has considerable latitude for independent action and decision making. You will support our current facility and allow it to grow to the next level of operations and production. You will prepare presentations and reports detailing the equipment operational availability & equipment effectiveness.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include oversight and management for the entire facility, compressors, vacuum systems, HVAC systems, building infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment. Other key responsibilities:
Helps prepare and execute maintenance team budgets
Helps manage facilities and equipment spare parts inventories to assure operational readiness
Uses lean thinking/manufacturing fundamentals and TPM principles to organize workflow, streamline internal processes and minimize equipment downtime
Provide KPI for department efficiency, as well as reporting other performance based metrics
Communicates directly with operations management on status of equipment within the facility
Drives maintenance technicians across 4 shifts to maintain a quality of service to our customers
Oversee day to day workload scheduling for all shifts. This includes managing pass down reporting and maintaining records of work performed
Interface with all departments including EHS to ensure all work is completed following safety and quality objectives
Train and mentor Maintenance Technicians in technical skills either through one on one or initiating department training initiatives
Assist in building annual PM/Major Scheduled event Calendars for department
Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures and ensure repairs are completed correctly

Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma/Equivalent and 7 years of facilities maintenance experience; or Associate’s degree and 4 years of facilities maintenance experience; or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of facilities maintenance experience; or a Master’s degree and 1 year of facilities maintenance experience
In-depth hands-on knowledge of facilities and equipment maintenance and reliability services
Solid understanding and experience in troubleshooting factory equipment, mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to prepare sound presentations and conduct meetings with the senior staff
Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting, and working overhead
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in lean manufacturing and maintenance systems
Experience in aerospace industry
Experience working in high-rate manufacturing facilities operating on a 24/7 schedule
Basic understanding of carbon composite manufacturing
Experience in automated industrial equipment such as storing, retrieving, forming, autoclave, conveyance, trim, inspections, and CNC machining centers is a plus
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams with diverse maintenance/craft skills and backgrounds
Hands-on experience/background in maintenance fields strongly preferred (Mechanic, Millwright, Pipefitter, HVAC background)

Salary Range: $79,800 - $119,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
