Northrop Grumman Principal Subcontract Administrator in Irving, Texas

The Northrop Grumman Corporate Global Supply Chain organization is committed to delivering performance and satisfaction to its customers. In this position, you will be responsible to contribute to an enterprise-level MRO category structure to aggregate spend, leverage opportunities, and optimize the "buy" with documented category sourcing strategies, identofying supplier diversity opportunities, and leading activities according to a sourcing project management roadmap. This position demands excellence in terms and conditions negotiations, risk management mitigation techniques, price evaluation, project management, and superior communication skills, both written and oral.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Enhance enterprise mission capability and affordability with program tactical focus through strategic one-company sourcing solutions and supplier management

  • Perform in a Category Management structured organization sourcing MRO commodities both domestically and internationally

  • Provide advanced sourcing leadership with resulting contract management oversight, project management, governance, and recurring risk management activities

  • Support development and deployment of category sourcing strategies and initiatives, and drive deployment across the enterprise, both domestically and internationally

  • Able to make decisions through collaboration via a category-based community with the right team, analytics, processes, and tools to capture the greatest supplier leverage opportunities

  • Manage all aspects of key and strategic suppliers including supplier relationship, performance and corrective action, teaming with customer group

  • Continuous oversight of assigned supplier agreements to ensure contracts' minimum requirements are met and all risk areas are identified and mitigated

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of all components of contractual agreements, including bill of material, statements of work, amendments, etc.

  • Prepare requests for proposal packages (RFx) as required

  • Conduct bidder conferences, coordinate analysis and evaluation of bidder proposals, facilitate the selection/recommendation of the winning bidder, negotiate agreement terms & conditions, contract provisions, and pricing.

  • Issue the contract award, then prepare and administer resulting contracts

  • Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to existing contracts

  • Issue Purchase/Change Order(s) to support contracts using designated procurement system (SAP, Ariba, etc.)

  • Provide post-award administration to include project implementation support to ensure supplier(s) adherence to contractual deliverables and timeline

•Demonstrated experience in sourcing to award and resulting recurring management of large dollar value agreements, up to enterprise-level in scope

•Elevated knowledge, proactive engagement, awareness and category management capability


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum six (6) years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, program management and/or project management; or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, program management and/or project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Large contracts experience, i.e. $1million + annual spend

  • Experience in the SAP procurement module

  • Experience in negotiation of enterprise-level information including, but not limited to, contract elements such as data privacy, data protection, and export/import concerns

  • Master's degree
