Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
We are seeking to fill a Financial Analyst role to support program management with budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting and planning. This position will report to the Finance Director with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Apply relevant principles to accurately record financial transactions and maintain appropriate supporting documentation
Perform month-end close activities and provide accurate and timely financial submissions
Apply basic modelling, forecasting and planning techniques to develop cost forecasts for Program Management, Operations and/or Business Development with cost drivers identified and explained
Coordinate project setup, maintenance and closure with Contracts and other stakeholders
Contribute to and make suggestions for process improvement activities
Observe and notice events that are out of the ordinary, make connections, draw conclusions and feed ideas and observations to senior finance colleagues
Assist in other standard and ad-hoc analyses and reporting requests
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance with 2 year's experience
Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of professional accounting standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen to and be sensitive to the views and values of others
Proven experience working effectively in a team environment
