Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Supplier Management Team Technical Lead to support the WISŁA IBCS Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing processes and activities within the supplier management team for related daily operations, data analytics and performance, international supplier coordination, operational excellence and supporting supply base diversity. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama. This important and key position will be responsible for multiple activities including, but not limited to:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support development of subcontract specifications, work statements and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services

  • Support program decision development in a timely manner, offer guidance and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, finance, supply chain, and export to ensure seamless contract administration

  • Analyze team and supplier performance metrics and develop courses of action to support program direction and strategic communication with the suppliers

  • Support program and supplier/subcontract program reviews (EVM and process compliance focus)

Skills Required:

  • Experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements

  • Strong understanding in the implemetation and use of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  • Perform independently without appreciable direction; Exercise considerable latitude in determining approaches to assignment

  • Knowledgeable in Northrop Grumman processes and procedures, can communicate effectively and clearly present approaches to the cross-IPT and functional team to keep the program on schedule and resolve issues that could cause impacts to program resources in an efficient manner

  • Serves as consultant to management, ensuring that correct decisions are made that influence the course of the program in a positive manner

  • Understanding of and ability to utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and business operations systems, specifically SAP

Travel up to 10% to support supplier assessments, oversight, and collaboration

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related degree with a minimum of 15 years of developing, planning or supporting of subcontractor guidelines, execution, and integration into Prime Contractor business systems or Master's degree with a minimum of 13 years of related experience

  • Skilled in the use of SAP

  • Excellent computer skills w/MS Office Suite, emphasis on Excel and Project

  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman policies and procedures

  • Skilled in the principles of Earned Value Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with management of high dollar value or complex subcontracts

  • Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman supply chain and business planning policies and procedures

  • Strong knowledge and understand of Earned Value requirements related to vendor inputs required for successful integration of vendor data into the Northrop Grumman Earned Value system

  • Strong data research and analytical skills to evaluate vendor provided inputs

  • Active Secret clearance
