Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager 2 to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting the WISLA program in Huntsville, Alabama .
Assures compliance in program quality, risk management, process improvement, subcontractor and supplier quality in accordance with contractual requirements.
Monitors operating unit quality metrics, corrective action boards, and program audit metrics and processes
Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program quality performance and risks
Presents metrics to executive leadership and the customer on regular basis
Develops and manages cost center expense budgets, productive yields, and resource planning
Responsible for the management of program budgets, schedules, program EACs and performance (using EV) for the quality scope of effort on programs
Frequent interface with executives and customer representatives, including on-site DCMA representatives, concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications
Promotes the professional development of the quality engineering workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement
Must have one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 9 years of quality/mission assurance and/or program management experience
Master's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 7 years of quality/mission assurance and/or program management experience
PhD in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 4 years of quality/mission assurance and/or program management experience
Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Advanced STEM degree
Demonstrated hardware and software engineering experience
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience
