Northrop Grumman is pursuing several large-scale Counter Rocket and Mortar (CRAM) Command and Control (C2) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) programs that will improve the security posture of our international partners.

There is an immediate need for a talented professional to join Northrop Grumman’s team and provide the insights and guidance needed to win these opportunities and manage the delivery of world class CRAM capabilities to these international partners. The successful candidate will have project management experience, a clear understanding of CRAM and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) concepts and solutions and the ability to clearly communicate complex topics to international and US government planners, influencers and decision makers.

Theindividual shall be responsible for:

  • Interfacing with the global customers regarding the program planning, budgeting and execution plans for new CRAM and IAMD programs across the air, land and sea domains

  • Identification and qualification of new business opportunities with the US Department of Defense and equivalent international organizations

  • Creation and refinement of new business strategies that are tailored to the customer’s military acquisition environment to include supporting development of the business case

  • Supporting the development of capture plans and execution of the plans with the customer community

  • Supporting development of white papers and cost estimates that support the program planning and budgeting needs

  • Supporting capture risks identification and the development of appropriate mitigation plans that address those risks

  • Keeping the overall Northrop Grumman team apprised of changes in the customer organization, acquisition approaches and priorities and providing recommendations on how Northrop Grumman can best adapt to changes

  • Supporting planning and execution of events such as customer meetings, conferences, demonstration, briefings and other customer communications

  • Supporting customer and competitor analysis and assessments to include Black Hats

  • Monitoring, analyzing, assessing and reporting changing trends in International military system acquisitions to include acquisition policies, priorities and plans

  • Support for the Identification of qualified customer country based suppliers to include development and execution of teaming agreements

  • Ability to transition to contract program management upon successful award of a CRAM contract

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Management, or Business Discipline

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex topics with a minimum of technical jargon

  • Project Management and Operational experience working with US military on CRAM and IAMD systems

  • In depth understanding in the use of tactical data links (e.g. Link-16) to connect C2 and weapon systems

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the fielding and/or operations of CRAM, IAMD, C4ISR or complex weapon systems for the US military

  • Basic understanding of the acquisition process from requirements though contract award

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading command and control fielding and /or operations

  • Experience performing marketing and salesactivities for a defense contractor

  • Experience working with military personnel and related organizations from Saudi Arabia, Australia, UAE, UK or South Korea

  • Understanding of US ITAR

  • Understanding of the US Technical Release Foreign Disclosure process

  • Understanding of cyber security needs for military systems

  • Experience working with Coalition partners in combined operations and exercises

  • US Military Command and Staff College experience

  • Understanding of the military programming, planning and budgeting process for major systems acquisitions (US or International)

  • Masters of Science degree in the engineering or management disciplines
