Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Manager Military Training 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals located in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Military Training Team. IBCS provides Command/Control and Integrated Fire Control capabilities for a distributed Air and Missile Defense Enterprise. The primary responsibilities involve conducting New Equipment Training (NET) prior to tests, logistic demonstrations, initial equipment fielding to military units and the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) schools personnel. Training will be conducted at diverse locations world-wide. Ability to travel required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide support to training material developers and writers
Lead the IBCS training team to the successful completion of tasks and requirements inclusive of Military Instruction, development of training materials, support to the customer training lead, and training related services as directed by the IBCS Logistics Lead
Develop, institute, and lead an integrated personnel training plan for the Military Instructors to ensure they are able to train and support the fielding of IBCS Hardware and Software
Direct the day to day assignment of team work, supervise assigned tasks to completion, and lead the development of the trainers
Lead the conduct of on-site training consisting of lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises
Supervise and enforce the use of established programs of instruction and lesson plans
Write and maintain detailed reports summarizing training event conduct and metrics such as student enrollment, student demographics, student attendance, student pass/fail percentages, and suggested improvements to course materials

*Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience: Master's degree + 3 years of experience; PhD + 0 years of experience. Four years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate vertically as well as horizontally within the IBCS Organization and the US Government Customer Organization
Ability to create briefing packages, reports, and other forms of written communication and clearly articulate the information to Senior Management or Executives
An understanding of MIL-STDs, DA Pamphlets, Circulars, and Regulations related to training and training material development
Possess a strong understanding of Military Instruction methods for delivery of formal platform instruction
Ability to adhere to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team members understand, support, and successfully meet all Statement of Work tasks
Demonstrated experience building and controlling complex integrated resource schedules
Ability to estimate resource requirements, evaluate and estimate costs associated with training event planning, and work well within the training team
Ability to quickly integrate new members of the training team in preparation for increased training requirements
Demonstrated experience in the use of Earned Value Management, schedule development, and allocation of resources
Specialized expertise in planning and executing military training and after action reviews
Have experience in developing resource, cost, and schedule estimations in support of proposal responses
Willing to travel up to 75%
Possess an Active Secret Clearance
Demonstrated outgoing, positive personality, solid work ethic, commitment to individual and team success, with a strong work-life balance approach is paramount to this position
Training and fielding experience with complex System of Systems equipment such as IBCS, RAID, C-RAM, C-UAS, BETSS-C, and RAM Warn systems
Certified Military Instructor
Prior Military Instruction experience
