Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill the position of Functional/Project Manager in the Engineering, Science, & Technology (ES&T) organization leading logistics management analyst's within Central Region Engineering.

This position is responsible for managing, supporting and growing technical talent and providing project management support to programs and technologies within the NGMS organization. As a Functional Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for direct reports to include their yearly goal planning and performance evaluations. Will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to multi-disciplinary teams with a variety of backgrounds, technical levels and expertise. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing to support a variety of programs and ensuring coverage for direct reports. Additional responsibilities will include support of proposal inputs for future work, independent technical reviews of major programs and R&D projects as well as organizational budget management.

The position is located in Huntsville AL with travel to company and customer sites required up to 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or applicable related area to Logistics and 8 years of technical experience in any combination of Systems Engineering, Logisticsor related disciplines.

Demonstrated project management experience.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Previous experience in People, Administrationand Technical Leadership roles

Ability to communicate effectively with direct reports, management, and customers.

Current Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree Business Administration, Logistics or applicable related area to Logistics.

3 years of management experience.

Experience in the defense industry

Strong motivation to help others develop and grow in their career

Proven management experience in functional environments

Experience effectively leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations
