Northrop Grumman 2018 - Systems Analysis Engineer - Missile Defense- New in Huntsville, Alabama
Northrop Grumman Technology Services Sector is seeking a Systems Analysis Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position reports to the Analysis/ModelingSimulation manager. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC) Analysis Team.
As a Professional Development Program (PDP) candidate, you will participate in a three year rotational training program to develop competencies in a variety of engineering disciplines.
The candidate will work with a multiple contractor team and will assist with performing requirements analyses, system level performance analyses including definition of and evaluation of technical performance measures, analysis and synthesis of threats and scenarios, system limitations analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, effectiveness analysis, and trade studies. Candidate will be involved with modeling and measuring techniques, and will utilize mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques as well as models and simulations for system.
The PDP rotations offer the opportunity to experience a variety of job assignments before making a commitment to a particular position. The program will support the individual's growth through training, skill development, and networking opportunities. This program gives its participants the ability to choose their assignments from a variety of departments based on their skills, areas of interest, and availability.
To be considered for this position, the candidate must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
3.25 GPA or higher.
Experience with MATLAB and/or Monte Carlo simulation analysis.
Ability to program in MATLAB, or C/C++, or Java, or Python.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel.
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with missile system analysis, modeling and simulation.
Ground-based Missile Defense experience.
Active DOD Top Secret security clearance.
