Northrop Grumman Sr. Principal Financial Analyst 4 in Herndon, Virginia

Northrop Grumman Technology Services Sector is seeking aSr. Principal Financial Analyst 4. This positionreports to the Financial Reporting Manager and will be located in Herndon, VA.

This position will interact with various sector, division and corporate staff to solve reporting issues and meet reporting requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the sector monthly and quarterly financial close deliverables

  • Coordinate and consolidate financial statements

  • Support the sector year-end financial reporting packages and coordinating with project accounting on data reporting requirements

  • Support executive presentations

  • Complete analysis of financial statement results (Income Statement and Balance Sheet)

  • Support both internal and external financial statement audits

  • Maintain month-end closing documentation

  • Provide audit support related to SOX, internal and external financial statement audits

  • Ad hoc reporting as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 10 years of accounting or combination of general accounting, reporting and/or auditing experience ora Master'sdegree and 8 years of related experience or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Advanced computer skills, especially in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of SAP or Business Warehouseand Hyperion Financial Management or similar systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA Certified Public Accountant

  • Understanding of government accounting regulations and cost accounting standards and federal acquisition regulations

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
