The Capture Manager 3 performs and leads tasks essential to the identification, qualification, shaping and capture of new business opportunities for the products, capabilities and customers within the Northrop Grumman Technology Services Global Logistics and Modernization (GLM) Division with particular emphasis on and expertise in US Air Force aviation and/or ICBM environments.
This position will be located in Herndon VA.
Provide leadership for all applicable capture processes in the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
In support of business development partners, carry out program advocacy campaigns to ensure long term support and to expand the possibility of derivative systems.
Proactively collaborate within Northrop Grumman Corporation, with special emphasis on collaborating across synergistic operating units within the NGTS GLM Enterprise.
Communicate at all levels of both internal and customer organizations, including with executive management.

Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline, minimum 10 years of combined experience with defense/aerospace business and defense operations or 8 years with a Master’s degree and combined experience with defense/aerospace business and defense operations.
Proven and verifiable large capture experience (>$100M) and skills as a respected team leader.
Proven and verifiable skills in planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contracts.
Experience in US and allied military aviation and/or ICBM operations, maintenance and logistics.
Experience in business marketing/ coordination and submission of responsive proposals with an ability to build and lead teams with a vision for success and capable of delegating responsibilities to the appropriate team members.
High Energy, Open Communicator/Collaborator to all levels of the organization, dedicated to the team and business area; able to communicate effectively with NGTS Executive Management.
Intimacy with the various Customer organizations that procure and/or operate such technology.
Current Security Clearance or previous clearance with the ability to obtain renewed clearance within 6 months of onboarding
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
Significant Operational, Acquisition, and/or Program Management experience.
Working knowledge of the MRO&U environments, operational and CONOP knowledge and experience.
Strong existing relationships with DoD and allied government organizations.
Credentials across all phases of the Business Acquisition Process ((BAP) strategy, opportunity shaping, identification, qualification, capture, bid, and keep sold activities).
