Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a position on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radars (SMORS) program. This position will be located at Cavalier AFS, ND, in support of sustainment and modernization activities related to the PARCS radar. In this position, the engineer will:
Work as a member of a distributed SW team to provide engineering solutions, including emergency/urgent depot-level maintenance requests, software version releases, and SW tool enhancements.
Participate in requirements derivation, analysis, system/software design, technical milestone review development/delivery, software implementation to include static code analysis, unit-level software testing and documentation, supporting system integration, contractor developmental test and evaluation and test acceptance.
Perform/support Rapid software defect root cause analysis and solution development.
Some travel may be required to support activities at SMORS program headquarters in Colorado Springs, but the majority of work will be provided from Cavalier AFS, ND.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 6 years or more of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with Master's degree in a related discipline.
Candidate must have hands-on development experience for OO/C++ applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment
Must have strong organization skills to prioritize assigned work and meet deadlines
Must be detail-oriented
Position requires U.S. Citizenship
Must have a DoD Secret security clearance
Familiarity with the PARCS radar located at Cavalier AFS, ND.
Familiarity with the PARCS Development Data Processor.
Experience developing real-time Object-Oriented Software architectures, with C++ implementation.
Familiarity with Missile Defense, Missile Warning and Space Situational Awareness missions.
Familiarity with Phased Array Radar technology.
Experience in the use of the Atlassian tool suite.
Experience utilizing model based systems engineering and software design methodologies (SYSML/UML).
