Northrop Grumman Staff Intl Trade Compliance Analyst in Virtual Posting,

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Analyst, International Trade Compliance to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position could be located at any NG location.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Global Trade Compliance (GTC) organization, working to ensure compliance with export laws that enhance foreign policy and protect national security.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and implements sector trade compliance program to include IT systems, training, and policies and procedures.

  • Assures the compliance program complies with U.S. government regulations and internal procedures.

  • Implements and leads the Sector GTC training program to ensure effectiveness of internal controls.

  • Leads and participates in company and sector assessments and internal audits.

  • Maintains resources on website and other shared sites for organization and sector employees.

  • Maintains applicable trade compliance records and provides reports in accordance with various regulatory requirements and international trade agreements.

  • Generate, present and manage organizational metrics supporting corporate and sector executive leadership reporting.

  • Proficient in assessment and application of export and import regulations and commodity jurisdiction and classification determinations.

  • Represents organization on complex contracts or projects associated with export and import regulations and company policy.

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant and sensitive matters.

  • Exercises good judgment to seek management support and guidance as needed, including collaborating on decisions that have high visibility or impact potential.

  • Develops and delivers presentations, and training for organization and program/function specific export training.

  • Provides support to Aeronautics Systems Division GTC teams as needed.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with providing guidance on, authorizing and auditing/assessing ITAR and EAR transactions. Will act as a mentor to early career employees. Actively lead and participate in corporate-wide working groups for new procedures, regulatory changes, system implementation, etc. Will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ Years of Trade Compliance experience with a Bachelors -OR- 13+ Years of stated experience with a Masters

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OCR's EASE software

  • Experience with SAP / GTS

  • Prior experience in a compliance role a plus

  • Prior experience as an Empowered Official a plus
