This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting space flight programs. Successful candidates for this position will work in a lead technical role for the ESPASat Product Line. Specifically, the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Lead to join our Space Systems group in Gilbert, AZ (preferred) or Dulles, VA.
The ESPASat product line currently has 59 SVs on contract and another 30 SVs proposed for new awards. The product line will have approximately $1B in active awards by the end of the second quarter of 2023. The product line has over 1600 individuals supporting across 8 programs that the SEIT Lead will be charged to guide from an IPT function. This individual will be responsible for ensuring effective collaboration and risk mitigation with a focus on long-term affordability and sustainment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The SEIT Lead is responsible for horizontal and vertical integration across all engineering elements of the program.
The SEIT Lead will lead a diverse engineering team and be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution, cost, schedule, quality, and staffing for the ESPASat Product Line.
This position requires multidiscipline knowledge in all areas related to engineering including systems design, hardware, and integration and test.
The SEIT Lead will oversee engineering program planning and execution, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting, briefings and providing overall leadership and coordination of a multi-disciplined Engineering team.
The position will be tasked with project leadership and cost account management (CAM) responsibilities.
The SEIT Lead will interface with multiple disciplines including internal Executive Management, Program Management, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Business Management, suppliers, and customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
Experience leading technical teams and/or integrating multiple program teams
Experience in systems development, integration, and test
Experience and/or training in Earned Value Management Systems and/or cost account management
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret level clearance, SCI eligible
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in STEM or technical management
Domain expertise spacecraft and space systems
Experience with design and development of national security satellites and interfaces and/or integration of multiple IPTs is strongly preferred
Engineering Review Board representation over total systems lifecycle (SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, PRR, and FRR) for the system technical baseline
Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements
Salary Range: $139,000 - $241,400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
