Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Gilbert, Arizona.

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems has an opening for an Engineering Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Gilbert, Az. You'll be performing RF Rack and EGSE support, RF group test and training support to colleagues and program personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Support RF Rack Electrical Ground Support Equipment with respect to functionality, program configuration needs, security updates, and maintenance.

  • Maintain configuration management of the RF Rack software, including configuration files

  • Support and train Integration and Test engineers on the functionality and operation of the RF Rack

  • Troubleshoot, and maintain test equipment

  • Assist with RF EGSE piece part inventory and tracking

  • Help maintain calibration of test equipment

  • Ability to work multiple shifts (day shift being standard)

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience

  • US Citizen

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD TS/SCI clearance

  • Ability to use standard tools and shop equipment

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Organized and good attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous electronics or RF work experience

• Aerospace, manufacturing or military experience

• Computer skills / Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)

• Knowledge of RF cable safe handling practices

• Willingness to learn how to perform software OS updates, software configuration management, and some Python or other scripting language

• Knowledge or experience working with the Air Force Satellite Control Network
