Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking an SCA Media Specialist 2 to join our Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Mission Training Complex (MTC) team on-base in Washington state. The selected candidate will serve as the audio / visual (A/V) technician for JBLM.

This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Training/education in Video Production or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

  • Demonstrates experience in Webcasting and Streaming Video systems using today's latest technology

  • Works in a dynamic environment producing quality work to demanding timescales

  • Operates and maintains video teleconference (VTC) Codec's, VTC Enterprise components, Video Streaming appliances

  • Troubleshoots Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom products required for after action review (AAR) VTC support

  • Provides to the government all video and pictures to use in the mid-exercise after action review (MAAR) and final after action review (FAAR) at the government’s discretion. (This includes warfighter exercise [WFX] and Army Service Component Command [ASCC] exercises)

  • Sets up the AAR site at the government’s discretion and ensure a technical rehearsal of all equipment is performed before execution

  • Addresses and troubleshoots customer issues received via email or phone, as well as through monitoring tools, for videoconferencing endpoints, infrastructure, integrated A/V systems, and networks

  • Supports Command Information Center (CIC) requirements during WFX operations

  • Leverages knowledge of all new / current Army and Joint regulation and publications applicable to this position

This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position with applicable $35.28 SCA rate and health and welfare benefits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • One of the following:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years

  • Associate’s degree in A/V / Media technology or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of media experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in A/V / Media technology or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of media experience

  • Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word

  • Must be able to work on-site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington

  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in support and troubleshooting of videoconferencing and audiovisual technology

  • Formal VTC training certification

  • General knowledge of Cisco WebEx Code Plus

Salary Range: $35.28 - $35.28

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
