Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Senior Program Manager for the Immersive Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit (OU) in Ft. Leavenworth, KS. The IMS OU designs, develops, and delivers world class training capabilities to the U.S. military. Northrop Grumman has developed critical capabilities for the U.S. Military for over 35 years and anticipates further growth. The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for leading and growing the Mission Command Training Program and other Mission Readiness programs for customers.

As the Senior Program Manager, you will report to the IMS OU Senior Director and be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of a multi-disciplinary team. The individual selected for this role will also have accountability for and participate in the strategy to grow our business. We are looking to continue to nurture customer intimacy and develop solutions for all customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross-functional team, providing cross-functional team leadership over the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP)

  • Effectively manage customer relationships

  • Compliantly execute contract requirements

  • Coach and grow team members

  • Financial accountability meeting or exceeding the Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan

  • Develop strategies and pursue new business to execute top and bottom-line growth

Basic Qualification

  • Retired colonel (O-6) equivalent or more

  • War college (MEL1) graduate or equivalent

  • Successfully served in a key developmental position at Corps/Division

  • Current on all Army and Joint Regulations and current doctrine

  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of program management leadership, master's degree with 10 years of experience or equivalent

  • A minimum five years of functional management experience, or equivalent

  • DoD program management experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Experience in program-level financial management and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former brigade commander

  • Training, modeling, and simulation industry experience

  • Strategic Planning experience

  • Proposal development experience

  • Capture Management / Business Development Experience

  • DoD development program experience

  • Possess a PMP Certification

Salary Range: $152,100 - $228,100

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
