Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Military Trainer - Military Protection Analyst . This position will be located in Fort Leavenworth, KS . The selected candidate will lead, train, challenge, and mentor and oversee all facets of training for Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) simulation command post exercises to train Division and Corps Commanders and their staffs during Warfighter and Mission Rehearsal exercises at Fort Leavenworth, KS. He / She will collect and manage data pertaining to military warfighting function (WfF) (Army-Protection) procedures, decisions, and orders during computer assisted military training exercises for Army Brigades, Divisions, Corps, and Army Service Component Commands. Work closely with military WfF Observer Coach / Trainers (OC/Ts); collect simulation generated data, observer Coach/ Trainer observations, analyzes data, and prepares visual products for After Action Reviews in coordination with military WfF counterparts. Develop and produce graphic products for After Action Reviews, Mission Command Training (MCT) Workshops, In-Progress Reviews, and briefings. When required, he/ she will assist in exercise planning, scenario development, weekly pre-exercise planning meetings, site surveys, and exercise planning conferences. Develop exercise plans, coordinate internal and external resources, monitor planning progress and timelines, and prepare contract deliverables items. He / She will maintain proficiency in the various simulations and models and AAR systems supporting Army training exercises. Candidate should have recent experience as an Army Engineer, Air Defense, Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear, or Military Police Bde / Division staff officer.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or Master's degree with 4 years of experience

  • Field Grade Officer

  • Minimum MEL 4-CGSC or Equivalent

  • Graduate of a related Advance Course (Engineer, Air Defense or Military Police) Must have, or be able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance

  • Familiar with current Army Maneuver and Protection / Joint doctrine

  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree

  • Division, Corps, Army Service Component staff officer experience

  • Previous experience in computer assisted simulation training

  • Prior experience as an Observer Coach/Trainer at an Army Combat Training Center (CTC)
